Scientific Conferences and Forums
The Institute organises and holds scientific and practical conferences and forums, creating a platform for professional dialogue among researchers and fostering cooperation between them.
These events are held with the aim of presenting and validating the results obtained by students during the completion of qualification works and the conduct of scientific research, further stimulating them to active scientific engagement, exchanging scientific ideas, establishing scientific ties, and discussing key issues in the fields of information and communication technologies, cybersecurity and cyber defence, the training of officers for the security and defence sector of Ukraine and creating a safe educational environment.
- Scientific and Practical Conference of Cadets (Students), Postgraduates, Doctoral Candidates and Young Scientists
“CURRENT ISSUES IN THE APPLICATION OF SPECIAL INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS”
Purpose of the Conference
To discuss current issues, analyse and summarise new theoretical and practical research findings in the fields of cybersecurity and cyber defence, information technologies and electronic communications, officer training for the security and defence sector and to encourage students to participate in scientific research.
Conference Topics (Sections):
- Cyber defenсe of state information resources and critical infrastructure facilities.
- Leadership qualities and professional competencies of future officers of Ukraine’s security and defence sector.
- Priority directions for the development of special information and communication systems.
- Advanced information technologies and artificial intelligence in the field of cybersecurity.
Following the conference, a collection of abstracts entitled “Proceedings of the Scientific and Practical Conference of Cadets (Students), Postgraduates, Doctoral Candidates and Young Scientists: Current Issues in the Application of Special Information and Communication Systems” is prepared.
- International Scientific and Practical Conference
“CYBERSECURITY OF STATE INSTITUTIONS AND CRISIS MANAGEMENT”
Purpose of the Conference
To discuss, analyse, and summarise new theoretical and practical research findings in the fields of information and cybersecurity, cyber defence, information and communication technologies and computer sciences, as well as issues related to the functioning of public authorities under crisis conditions, with the aim of actively engaging researchers, academic staff and students in scientific activities.
Conference Topics (Sections):
- Current issues of ensuring cybersecurity of state information resources.
- Developing of professional competencies of future employees of the security and defense sector of Ukraine.
- Perspective directions of development and problems of modern electronic communications in crisis conditions.
- Leadership and elitism under martial law: educational practice.
- Current issues in the application of the latest information technologies and artificial intelligence in the field of cybersecurity.
Following the conference, a collection of abstracts entitled “Proceedings of the International Scientific and Practical Conference ‘Cybersecurity of State Institutions and Overcoming Crisis Situations’” is published.
The best research findings are implemented in the practical activities of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine and integrated into the study programs of leading technical universities.
- STUDENT SAFETY & SECURITY FORUM
This event brings together representatives of higher, professional pre-higher, vocational and secondary education institutions to discuss security issues and raise awareness of current threats and risks that students may face under martial law.
The Forum serves as a platform for sharing experiences and finding effective solutions to ensure a safe educational environment.
The event is organised by the Institute of Special Communication and Information Protection of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, West Ukrainian National University and State Educational Institution “Ternopil Professional College with Enhanced Military and Physical Training”.
