The program “Cisco Network Security” is designed to enhance the qualifications of administrators and specialists involved in the operation of TCP/IP communication networks.
The overall goal of the program is to improve the professional competence of TCP/IP network administrators and to strengthen their ability to develop practical skills in protecting network infrastructure under real-world cyber threat conditions. It covers key aspects of information security, including access policies, firewalls, access control lists (ACLs), VPNs and intrusion prevention methods.
The program aims to enhance participants’ ability to:
- identify potential vulnerabilities within networks;
- implement protective mechanisms to prevent attacks;
- work with network security tools at the router and firewall level;
- configure cryptographic protection (including VPNs);
- respond to intrusions and mitigate the consequences of security incidents.
The learning process includes lectures, practical exercises, laboratory work and computer workshops.
Total duration: 66 hours, including 40 hours of instructor-led training. The netacad.com platform is used for self-study assignments.
Forms of assessment:
- ongoing assessment – online testing after each module;
- final exam – online testing via the Cisco Academy platform.
Mode of study: distance learning (during special periods).
Study group: 10–17 participants with higher education.
Upon completion, participants receive a state-recognised certificate of professional development, a Cisco CCNA certificate (for each session) and an electronic voucher (for optional sessions).
