Administration and Security of TCP/IP Networks
(Cisco Cybersecurity Operations)

The program “Administration and Security of TCP/IP Networks (Cisco Cybersecurity Operations)” is designed to enhance the qualifications of administrators and specialists in the operation of TCP/IP telecommunication networks.

Cisco Cybersecurity Operations

The overall goal of the program is to improve the professional competence of TCP/IP network administrators and focuses on studying the principles of Security Operations Centers (SOC) functioning, incident response methods and techniques for detecting threats and vulnerabilities.

The program aims to enhance participants’ ability to:

  • analyse attacker behavior and defense evasion techniques;
  • detect incidents and security breaches in real time;
  • apply methods for identifying, containing and mitigating cyber threats;
  • work with key SOC analyst tools;
  • understand the threat lifecycle and methods of mitigation;
  • understand the stages of cyberattacks and build protection systems to prevent them.

The forms of training include lectures, practical exercises, laboratory sessions and computer practicums. The total duration is 66 hours (2.2 ECTS credits), including 40 hours of instructor-led training. The practical component within the total study time accounts for 72%. For independent assignments, the netacad.com learning platform is used.

Forms of assessment:

  • ongoing assessment – online testing after each module;
  • final assessment – online final exam after each session.

Mode of study: distance learning (during the special period).

Study group: 10–17 participants with higher education.

Training sessions are conducted using the material and technical facilities of the Institute of Special Communications and Information Protection of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. Upon completion, participants receive a state-issued Certificate of Professional Development and a Cisco CCNA certificate, as well as an electronic voucher (for optional sessions).
